Entering the gates of Garaywa Camp and Conference Center and seeing the quiet swaying of the moss-laden trees is like being transported from a stress-filled existence into the peaceful presence of God’s beautiful creation. Garaywa is a year-round retreat center and summer camp ministry located in Clinton, Mississippi. It has been owned and operated by the Woman’s Missionary Union of Mississippi since 1947. Only a few minutes from Jackson and in the city limits of Clinton, Garaywa is truly a retreat in the middle of the suburbs.
